Meagan Kurland

Primary office:

Meagan is a 5th year PhD candidate in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at KU. Her research utilizes the nematode C. elegans and focuses on neural development, specifically axon growth and neuron specification. This is the second time she has been part of the organizing committee for SEARCH, and she is excited to continue expanding the symposium to better aid graduate students who are looking into careers outside of academia.

The SEARCH Symposium was partially funded by donations made to KU Student Endowment Board’s crowd-funding campaign, LaunchKU. If you would like to support our graduate student organizations and the 2020 SEARCH Symposium, please consider making a donation. Even the smallest donations make a difference.

Thank you for supporting graduate students' efforts to promote science education and outreach, professional development events, and travel to professional meetings.
